Situated in Huddersfield town centre, the Kirklees Collections includes “records for numerous local industries and businesses including woollen, worsted and fancy cloth manufacturers and shoddy, mungo and rag merchants in the textile industry, as well as accountants, shovel makers, valve makers, shoe makers, land surveyors, auctioneers, maltsters, iron and lead works, wire rope manufacturers, theatres, tanners and solicitors”. Collections also contain documentation of “trade unions and mutual societies, records reflecting the strong musical heritage of the area” and “records that represent the political, social charitable, sporting and educational diversity of the area” among many other treasures.

Cultures of Climate is the place-based research festival from the School of Art & Humanities for 2025. The programme includes exhibitions, creative residences, guest speakers, workshops & more.
